The evaluation looks at Zotero’s performance while installing the add-on, entering citations, organizing and retrieving citations, enhancing citations and attachments, and using citations in papers and bibliographies using the tool to create bibliographies and citations and a researcher looking to organize their citation collection. Once the research portion of reearcher’s work is completed and they have moved into the process of writing, Zotero can help even more. Various citation and bibliography styles are supported by a large array of plugins. Plug-ins for Microsoft Word and LibreOffice allow quick generation of citations, footnotes, and bibliographies for resaercher publications. Zotero also facilitates collaboration by allowing shared libraries between teams of users that can be private or publicly accessible. Researchers, students, and academics on the move will appreciate the cloud sync functionality – all content you add to your library is uploaded to the Zotero servers and is available from any web browser. Keyword tagging of content is also supported. Organization is facilitated by the ability to create and name collections and sub-collections that act similar to folders, and to create smart searches for automatic sorting. Other features of Zotero include the ability to sort related materials such as mp3 files, videos, and web clips into libraries.
