The phoenix pack was a bit expensive for my tastes given that I wasn't interested in most of the mechs, so I was just planning on buying the shads with cbills if they turned out to be good, and therefore I'm limited to playing with builds in smurfy and looking at how the shads I see in game perform. I've even seen some people saying it's quite possibly the best medium mech in the game, which definitely surprised me. Now the phoenix pack is here, and despite the fact that all of the size estimates turned out to be correct, almost everything I've heard about the mech has been positive. Many people were saying that it looked like it would be non-viable because it was such a huge target, myself included. Before the phoenix package dropped, the general feeling seemed to be that the shadow hawk was going to be bad, mostly based on estimates of its overall size from the screenshots that had been released.
